Only 3 days til Halloween! I'm going to take a little break from the Halloween posts in honor of Trend Watch Wednesday.

I'm noticing a definite trend of ballet-inspired fashion lately and I love it! I was a serious dancer from the time I was 4 and well into my college years, so there's no wonder this is my favorite trend to emerge this fall (and that's saying ALOT!)
Everywhere you look, ballet-inspired pieces like body skimming dresses, leggings and ballet flats seem to appear. I've featured a few of my fave items from Francesca's Collections and Urban Outfitters:
Don't you love these T-Strap shoes? These are called "skimmers" and come from UO. Available in 3 nifty colors, they are the perfect shoes for those days when heels just aren't an option.
This crimson-colored dress from UO is just plain pretty, don't you think? It would also be flattering on many different body shapes.

I am so happy that flats seem to be popular agin this fall. As I teacher I stand on my feet all day and it is impossible to wear heels all the time. You found a lot of really cute things.

ReplyDeleteThis look is my favorite right now. I definitely love the plaid, boots, sequins, and all that, but flats and comfortable tights and a cute top are a must have! I love those grey flats, cute post love! Also, how cool that you are a ballerina and into dancing!
