High/Low Style: Pencey

You know, there's nothing more I love than a word that begins with "Fri" and ends with "day"....so TGIF, you guys : )

I don't know about ya'll, but it's darn near impossible for me to not blow my entire budget on cute summer clothes. You see, in Arkansas, we can wear our summer attire well into the fall since it doesn't cool off here until at least late October. So I tend to grab as many little dresses, sandals and tanks as I can while the "gettin's good."

I'm constantly trying to emulate the looks I see on the runway and in magazines for a fraction of the price. Let me tell you girls, it CAN BE DONE.

I LUST after Pencey. It's one of my all-time favorite brands on shopbop.com and, all though I can't afford their entire line (because believe you me, I would buy it in a New York minute), I have found several look-alike pieces from Topshop.

I'm a firm believer in the whole "look for less" concept...trust me, there is always something just as adorable, (dare I say, sometimes more adorable) at a fraction of the cost. So always "shop" around before you commit an expensive piece. Its less expensive doppleganger could be right around the corner.
