Raise your hand if you're so happy it's almost Friday! I'm raising both hands and both feet here at my desk : )
I don't know about ya'll, but I'm ready for the weekend.
So anyway, I was brainstorming on ideas for the blog and thought a series on summer entertaining would be perfect. I mean, this is the most popular season for weddings, baby showers, outdoor get togethers and whatnot.
My first "soiree" comes to you via one of my favorite entertaining blogs, Eat Drink Pretty. I saw a post that she did featuring an all-pink, floral theme in honor of her blog's birthday.
Let me tell you girls, I was floored. So much pink, so many flowers, all those delicious sweet treats...
A party like this would be perfect for a bridal shower, bridal brunch, girly b-day party or even just a summer tea party with a group of friends.
Many of the supplies you would need to replicate this could be purchased at just about any local crafts store like Hobby Lobby or Michael's.
Some ideas to include could be:
-Use glass water dispensers or apothocary jars instead of vases to hold floral arrangements. It's inexpensive and very shabby chic.
-No need to order pricy placecards for your guests' tables. Simply tie a label with each attendee's name onto the stem of a lollipop and voila! A tasty and unique way to denote seating arrangements.
-Stumped on what to use as party favors? Packets of flower seeds make an ideal, eco-friendly gift for your guests.
I have a feeling this is going to be a fun, summer series, so tune in next week for more soiree ideas. Have a fantastic idea for a party theme? Or maybe you've thrown a fabulous fiesta of your own recently? I'd love to see pics and suggestions from you guys.
Feel free to send them to me at askblondeambition@gmail.com and maybe I'll feature yours in an upcoming edition here!
