10 Things + My New BFF

via

Before the 10 things, gotta share something cool with y'all. So yesterday I tweeted:

...and got a reply from one Paula Deen herself. I nearly died last night when I saw this:

Anywho, maybe she'll start reading the blog, ha : ) Seriously though, so cool of her to respond to her biggest fan. I'd pass out if I ever met her in person.

Okie dokie, 10 things I'm looking forward to this weekend.

1. Not waking up before 8 a.m.

2. Pancakes on Saturday morning with le fiancé

3. Date night

4. Catching up on my Real Housewives of Miami

5. Seeing a movie- The King's Speech, perhaps?

6. Painting my (currently bare) toenails

7. A jaunt to Coldstone because, um, I haven't been there since last summer

8. Taking a break from the wedding planning (much needed)

9. Getting my eyebrows waxed (again, much needed)

10. Trying out a new lasagna recipe, courtesy of my almost SIL

What about y'all? What riveting things await you this weekend?

Be blessed, lovelies-

  1. This weekend is incredibly busy! Today, I am hitting up a children's consignment with my besties in hopes of scoring so great things for Ryan and Baby Carter (we are anxiously awaiting his Sept arrival). Tomorrow, we have this Grand Prix race at our church for the kiddos. Then Ryan and I are heading to tbe city (Atlanta) to grab lunch at The Varsity! And on Sunday picking up our new (to us) mini van! Gasp, I always swore I would NEVER drive a mini van. Never say never because you will eat your words!

  8. Your weekend sounds PERFECT. I may steal a few of your bucket list items for my own sweet little weekend.

Also, Paula Dean came to bolo bash in Little Rock a couple of years ago and spoke, you should have come!!!! She actually told everyone she "became a woman" while passing through AR as a tween (slightly awk, but we all still love her to death!).

Check out my new post if you get a chance, and have a fab weekend!
