Trend Watch Wednesday: {The Bows and the Beautiful}


When I was little, my mom used to put ginormous bows in my hair…we’re talking saucer-sized here, girls. Not sure if that’s primarily a Southern thing, but all of my little school mates and friends had bows the size of Texas, too.

It’s how we rolled.

Now that we are all older and much more mature (cough, cough) it’s time to find a different way to wear our bows. And ladies, believe you me, there are some pretty chic ways to do it!

Bow on a skirt? Don't mind if I do!

The art of the understated bow...very classy.

    Oh girl... I had the bows too! In EVERY school picture I have a big bow and you can't forget about the puffy bangs! Love the skirts and love the post, great finds! :)

    Love LOVE this post! And I too was raised in the South and had ginormous bows tied in my hair by my momma when I was little. Hilarious to look back on those photos. Yet, I'm still slightly obsessed with bows (mature bows, of course!), so maybe it was a good thing we started young!

    I definitely was forced to wear giant bows as a child too!! Didn't appreciate the bows then, but now I love them - especially those pink shorts!!!! love!

    These are good bows. The southern style - bad bows. I lived in Texas for awhile and was amazed at how many women still wear the GIANT clip on hair bow.

    Which do you think is worse - giant hair bow or a banana comb?
