Enough stalling. Let’s get to it, shall we?
1. How about the crisp November weather we’re having? I mean, I LOVE me some fall weather, but there is one teeny weenie problem…it’s May.
May! And I wore a cashmere cardigan, jeans and two layers of camisoles underneath yesterday because it was 47 degrees when I left my apartment for work. This makes me very afraid that Mama Nature is playing a cruel joke on all of us and that, when and if it does finally warm up, we will have 110 degree heat well into October this year. Just for kicks, she’ll throw in a record-breaking heat wave in November and finish it up with a hurricane in December, just in time for the holidays.
On the plus side, it looks as if I will indeed get to try out my new Forever 21 wool pea coat that I bought in March at their end of winter sale.
Ridiculous.
2. Raise your hand if you are watching Real Housewives of New Jersey this season! (I am raising my hand. And my other hand. And both of my feet.)
This season went off with Grey-Goose-filled bang on Monday night and I’m here to tell y’all, this may be the wackiest, tackiest, most amazing season of RHW television thus far. Didn’t tune in? Fret not.
A few highlights:
-The show opened with Teresa, her husband Joe, her brother and about 60 other angry Italians fist fighting one another at her nephew Giuseppe Gorga’s christening party.
-Teresa announces to the camera that her husband Joe will be late to the christening party because he has “the runs”. Classy.
-Caroline’s daughter is dating a guy named Vito…for real.
-We learn that even though Joe and Teresa filed for bankruptcy, they are still living in their multi-million dollar mansion and have a full time staff, including a nanny. Didn't you yahoos learn anything from your money troubles??!
Ridiculous.
3. This pic of Jessica Simpson spotted in L.A. last week. Bless her heart, she lost her pants.
Ridiculous.
4. A lady that I go to work with just won a $100 gas gift card. She was able to get exactly one and one-half tanks with that card. Remember back in the day when you could fill up for $25?
Ridiculous.
5. I have no problems with Oprah. I think she has done amazing things for lots and lots of people, revived the literary world and inspired bazillions of people to do good stuff for other human beings. However. I feel like the media is making a wee bit too much of a big deal out of her show retiring. She's not critically ill or going into permanent seclusion...she's retiring from a talk show.
With massive flooding in the Delta, the aftermath of one of the deadliest tornadoes in history and the ongoing uprisings in the Middle East, is it maybe, just maybe possible that Ms. Winfrey should take a back seat for a change? I think so. So come on media, let's focus on some things that really matter for a change....you'd make a lot of people (like me) infinitely happier.
Ridiculous.
That's all I've got today, ladies. Got a ridiculous issue that you'd like to see here? Send it to me at askblondeambition{at}gmail{dot}com!
Be blessed, lovelies-
amen amen and amen! no one should be caught with no pants...no one. also, i may indeed cry if we were to experience a heat wave in november. no joke. it's thankfully warmed up here tho {charlotte} and this weekend it's supposed to be close to 90! yikes
ReplyDeleteand i have seen maybe a dozen episodes of oprah my whole life, so i really do not get the media frenzy. there are actual life/world changing events simultaneously happening...
