Hello, beauties! Today marks the start of the Wedding Sneak Peek series here on A Blonde Ambition. I consider all of you girls friends of mine and therefore, I want to share some special secret wedding details with all of you! I mean seriously, what better way to get excited about your upcoming nuptials than to gush with your girlfriends?!
Today's Sneak Peek letter is 'S'.
The letter 'S' is for...
Searsucker Suits
My little ringbearer will be sporting the below searsucker shorts suit in this beautiful alabaster and khaki color from Dapper Lads...isn't it adorable? He'll wear some precious little loafers with it, too! The theme of our wedding is Southern Chic and you really can't get much more southern than a great searsucker print.
The letter 'S' is also for...
Stillettos
My beautiful Lelah stillettos by Badgley Mischka arrived 2 weeks ago and I was positively giddy when I opened up the box. Aren't they pretty? I wanted a shoe that was classic ivory and with feminine detailing, hence the bow. I also love that the 3.5 inch heel gives it the perfect hint of sexiness ; )
The letter 'S' also represents...
Satin
Without divulging too much about my dress, I can tell you that it is satin. I've always had a thing for polished, satin wedding gowns and when I saw my dress at the bridal boutique, I knew it was meant for me. Coincidentally, a certain Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) also sported a satin gown for her second wedding dress on the day of she and William's nuptials. Mine is about the same color as hers, too! (But a completely different style.)
Finally, the letter 'S' stands for...
Something Blue
I wanted to incorporate something creative into my wedding day attire. I saw in a Southern Living magazine article where a bride had a swatch of fabric featuring the words "Something Blue" sewn into the inside of her dress. Well, my dear grandma stitched up a similar fabric swatch for me, which we'll sew into my dress together the night before the wedding : ) Instead of the date, mine will feature the words "Something Blue" only, just like the Southern Living magazine bride's. I just think it's such a special detail!
I hope you enjoyed the first Sneak Peek...stay tuned for next week's edition, y'all!
I'm off to the hairdresser to get all dolled up for my bridal pics this afternoon! Eeep!! Wish me luck ; )
