Recently I had the chance to try some new eye shadow, courtesy of Girlactik Beauty! The great peeps over at Girlactik gave me my choice of any color of their Sparkle Eyeliner Sets and I couldn’t wait to try it! I chose the Gunmetal set, which included the dark eyeliner base, gunmetal eyeliner sparkle powder, tapered eyeliner brush and a sponge applicator.
You begin by applying the dark base just like you would if you were applying regular eyeliner. Then you dab the tapered brush into the sparkle powder and apply over the top of the base. If any excess powder falls onto your cheekbones during the application, simply dip a powder brush into some translucent powder and brush it away. Voila! Perfection.
I don’t do many product reviews, simply because, if I don’t think I’m going to like something, there’s no way in heck I’m gonna try to sell it to y’all. Period.
This product was different from the get go. I went to Girlactik’s website before I agreed to do the review and was shocked to see how many celebs also use this product. Stars like Carrie Underwood, Karina Smirnoff, Kim Kardashian, Kyle Richards, Eva Longoria and Kristen Bell practically swear by it! So I knew I had to try it, too.
I loved it! Stephen even commented that it was sexy and dark...bonus points! My favorite thing about the Sparkle Eyeliner set was that it could be layered for a heavier, nighttime look or applied in one sheer coat for a smoky daytime eye look. It’s a sparkly eye that’s appropriate for us girls over the age of 18, which is just awesome.
