I'm giggling at myself for writing that title. I wrote it with the connotation of "wear white right now", then read it and realized that, when read aloud, it sounded like someone with a speech impediment.
Go ahead. Read it in an Elmer Fudd voice and see if you don't crack yourself up.

Wascally Wabbits aside (gah, I'm just too much!), we're talking about the non-color white and why it's A-Okay to wear it during the cooler/cold months. In fact, tons of mega designs houses like Prada, Celine and Chanel did white for their Fall 2011 collections. Although in my opinion, no one does a white moment better than Rachel Zoe right now...gaw, she's good.

I'm not bold enough to wear my summery white skinny pants, (I know, I'm a pansy), but I do think I'll attempt a white sweater, dress or stark white pea coat this fall. The only thing I'm still on the fence about is white shoes. I'm not convinced white shoe wearing is ever appropriate after Labor Day.

I think it's a really chic trend though, no?
In other news, today is our 2 Month Wedding Anniversary! Two months ago, on this very day, I said "I DO!" to the love of my life. I don't think I've ever laughed louder or loved harder than I have in the past 60 days in my entire life.
I love you to the moon, darling man!
Be blessed, lovelies-
The white is adorable. And happy 2 month wedding anniversary :)

ReplyDeleteI like the "winter white" idea, but I think it takes a certain someone/outfit in order for it to work. But definitely no white shoes.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2 Months!
I love winter white! My favorite wool coat is white.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2 month anniversery!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you wrote this post because I have a couple of white things I'd like to wear but wasn't sure if the "no white after labor day" thing was still in effect! Haha.
Happy Two Months to an adorable couple! Woot Woot for Anniversaries...I just celebrated 18 years and 6 months on Tuesday but who's counting?! hah! And no, I'm not THAT old...just married YOUNG!

ReplyDeleteI totally wore a white dress with black close toed pumps and a black cardigan last week and loved it! You previous post was my inspiration!
I totally get it! I'm dying to get a cozy white sweater!
ReplyDeleteI love the white! I'm with you, I can handle the white sweaters and coats, but I'm not brave enough for white pants in the winter. Unless, it's a nice creamy winter white, that is.
ReplyDeleteI swear everyone finds cool stuff on pinterest except moi!!!

congrats on your wedding! did it feel like 2 months flew by?
I love the blog title. Haha. Maybe it's because that is exactly how I would've said right now when I was 6.I love the white trend. Happy 2 months.
ReplyDeleteloving white in winter!! and i lol-ed when i read your original post title:)
ReplyDeleteStart with a white watch! I love mine.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI love the wintery white look, although I must admit that I'm nervous about wearing white as well this time of year. It feels like I'm breaking a rule or something but maybe, just maybe, I'll give it a shot!
I love my winter white coat, but I'm still a little scared to take the plunge and wear white on the bottom... maybe if I find the right occasion I'll give it a try. Definitely wouldn't make it through the winter without my white coats :-)
ReplyDeleteLove white for winter - especially paired with brown/camel. simply gorgeous

I am digging the vintage Coach bag in the 2nd pic! At least it looks vintage- I supposed it could be part of the Classics line. I have one in British Tan similar to that that's about 20 years old! May have to get it out this fall!
