S and I usually keep it pretty low key. (I say 'usually' but for gosh'sakes we've only spent one other Valentine's Day together.) We'll have a nice dinner, he'll send me some lovely flowers and I'll buy him a round of golf at his choice of course.
We go all out, you see.
But there's one major-fun way to celebrate the Day of Love that you might not have thought about. It happens to be something I love more than sugar or chocolate or Brad Pitt circa Legends of the Fall.
Yes, girls - it's shopping.
You can totally pull Valentine's Day colors into some of your outfits this winter and still look chic.I completely love the below shoes by DVF and Kate Spade.
Red Shoes by DVF, Pink Jellies by Kate Spade |
These two dresses, one from Tibi and the other from Juicy Couture, are cute enough to melt the heart of even the most cynical of romantics.

If you aren't keen on incorporating bold colors into an overall look, try painting yo' nails.
Vanity Fairest, Really Red and Secret Stash - all by Essie |
...and because we don't take ourselves too seriously around here...
See girls, there are ways to celebrate the Day of Love without fattening chocolate or sappy cards. Though I've never been one to turn down either...
Be blessed, lovelies-

Well, those DVF flats have my heart going pitter-patter. And all the V-Day sweetness and colors . . . so fun! I'm not sure what we're doing this year, but I love celebrating love any old time. :)
ReplyDeleteWe do low key for V day as well! I do love seeing all the pink around as the day gets closer.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on wearing red skinny jeans :) just posted about them- I'm obsessed and moreso now that I thought to wear them for V-day!
