Three Years Later

Last Friday, my little blog turned three years old. I took a few days off to celebrate the Independence Day holiday, so I didn’t post about it.

Blogging has changed my life in so many ways. I mean really, truly changed the course of my life.

For instance:

-I’ve met some amazing women who have become dear friends of mine.

-I’ve gotten some really exciting opportunities, like the Celebrate Magazine spread about the blog in 2010, or this year’s Citiscapes article that I wrote to promote NWA Fashion Week.

-I got to talk to one of my favorite actresses, Kate Walsh. I’ll never forget how nice and humble she was on the phone for the interview.

-I’ve been generously given a whole bunch of stuff that I don’t deserve, like adorable clothes and accessories, which have definitely changed my life : )

-I got to participate in a cool photo shoot for MaudeBoutique.

-As of late, I’m getting to work with Tess on some posts forSavoir-Faire.

-It helped me realize that my purpose in life (career-wise, anyway) was not to work in bank marketing (bleh.)

It helped summon the courage to leave said bank-marketing job and take a leap of faith, to go and write words for a living. Write words for cool people. Cool people that work for big companies. Companies for which I’d never dreamed of writing.

And now I do.

-I met Sarah through Kelly’s blog. Sarah introduced me to Stephen. And then I married him.
