I had to resort to iPhone photos taken in my office's bathroom, (Stephen is in
New Orleans), so I apologize for the less than amazing quality. However, since this blog
is my scrapbook/journal, I wanted to record everything anyway.
Weight Loss/Gain? Finally
gained a pound…16 weeks later.
Cravings: I’m still loving fresh salads with lots of crunchy
veggies, especially tomatoes and banana peppers. Sweets still sound pretty
gross, (except for sweet tea), but then again, I was never a big sweet-eater
before this pregnancy anyway. Also? Steak. We’ve eaten steak a few times lately
and it always tastes so good!
Favorite Moment this Week: Getting the test results back on
Baby S and finding out that our little one is totally healthy! For more
details, read here.
Funniest Moment this Week: Going to the doctor and having a
sweet little nurse at the OB’s office, (I’m told it was her first week
on the job), ask me if I was still taking my birth control pills. “Um, nope.
Afraid that bird has flown”, I said. I
could tell she was so embarrassed the second she said it, but it did make me
giggle : )
Sleeping: Worst insomnia ever. Last week was filled with
hours of wonderful sleep. This week? Horrid. My stomach feels SO tight when I
lay down and sometimes I wonder where I’m going to fit this kid. I’m only in my second trimester and yesterday,
I thought, “There’s no wonder everyone says it’s hard to eat once you’re in the
third trimester. Where would you put the food?” Still, it is SO COOL that the
human body can accommodate another person. Amazing.
Clothes: Regular clothes, but the bump is showing for sure!

I ate so much steak during my first trimester. It was one of the only proteins I could handle. My husband joked that he never knew he could get sick of filet mignon!
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute :) I was just like you at 16 weeks. Barely gained any weight. I got sooo tired of people looking at me going "wow, you haven't gained anything, etc" but you get to stay in your pre preggo clothes longer :)

So I religiously checked your blog before I had my little one (he's now8.5 mos) and I just haven't had the blog time I used to. Well today I thought about you and said to myself I wonder if A Blonde Ambition is pregnant? I bet she is! Low and behold I check and yes you are and 16 weeks at that! Time goes by slow when you're preggers and then soooo fast once they're here!
