I fell in love with the Baby Cache Chantal Convertible Crib in Linen with the matching Chantal dresser from Baby's 'R Us. I think we'll be ordering both this weekend!
As far as bedding, a Twitter/blog friend shared Serena and Lily's amazing site with me and I fell in love with the Tess Crib Collection. Those muted colors, that damask print...swoon.
I also LOVED the Blue and Taupe Paisley Crib Set from bedding.com. It is exactly what I feel like a sweet baby girl's nursery should be: sweet, subtle and chic.
As far as a color palette, I want lots of very muted colors: soft grays, creamy whites, burlap browns and the palest of pinks.
And yes, we'll be installing a chandelier. It was a must for a baby girl's room, which I said from the get-go.
A few nurseries I spotted on Pinterest that inspired the colors:
What inspired your children's nurseries? Or what is inspiring your future baby's nursery (if you're at that stage in life)?
Oh, I can already tell I am going to LOVE this baby girl's room!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your nursery choices! Can't wait to see it all put together :)
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this nursery already! How precious!
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas. What a beautiful nursery it will be. I cannot wait to see the progress and final product. I don't have children or any on the way, but I have thought a little about it. I think if we ever have a baby girl, her nursery will be filled with soft lavender.
ReplyDeleteIn LOVE!!! I am sure that the nursery will be as beautiful as your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDesigning a nursery was one of the most fun (not to mention expensive) endeavors during my pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteYou have me jonesin' to decorate another! I love everything you've chosen and I can't wait to see the finished product!
I love all of your inspiration! I'm 18 weeks pregnant and we still don't know the gender of our baby, but once we do I think we are going to try and stick to very muted hues like you did. We want something that our baby can grow into instead of changing it right away.
ReplyDeleteThat's the same crib and furniture I used! It's beautiful in person. You won't regret it, I promise!
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty! I love the ornate crib and the dainty details of the chandelier and fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of you southern mamas go all out with the bedding but the only thing to use that's safe is a fitted sheet and nothing else. Bumpers and blankets provide a huge risk of suffocation and without the airflow around the crib (through the slats), then you also increase the risk of SIDS.
Just something to look into ;)
Oh that is all going to be beautiful! I cannot wait to see what you put together for that sweet baby girl.
ReplyDeleteLove the color palette; so serene and whimsical but classic!
ReplyDeleteAll of the inspiration pictures are gorgeous, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteOhh I love this! Reminds me of Mrs In Training's baby nursery!
