We're Having a...

Stephen and I are so very excited to share with you all that this October, we will be welcoming a...

We are BEYOND excited to be welcoming Caroline Rose Sisti this October!

I speak for both Stephen and myself when I say we would have been ecstatic to have had either gender, but we are over the moon to get to cuddle with a sweet baby girl in just a few months! Her daddy has already turned into a puddle of mush, constantly talking to her (i.e. my bump) in a sweet, quiet voice.

Also, can I just say? I am thrilled to get to dress up a sweet baby girl. The fashion-lover inside me yearns to buy bows and dresses and tutus! And, as it is with any gender and any set of parents, we cannot wait to see which parent she most looks like, Stephen or me.

And now - questions:

Were you surprised?

It's so funny. I thought this baby was a boy all along, but Stephen was convinced it was a girl. Her daddy was right! I admit, I cried happy tears when they told us the gender, but because it felt SO REAL. A baby girl....eeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!!!

How did you find out so early?

We found out a little earlier than usual, only because we had to have some genetic testing done, due to the initial scare. The high-level ultrasound and the genetic test results we received both concluded that Baby S is a GIRL!

Most of all, we were relieved that all the test results came back okay. The gender discovery was just the icing on the cake. Praise God, our sweet girl is healthy. And that, above all, is what we are celebrating.

And her name?

We both love her name...Caroline Rose.

I've always adored the name Caroline and said that if I ever had a daughter, I'd want her to be a Caroline. To me, it's sweet, feminine and Southern. We loved the name Rose and how it sounded with the first name. Plus, one of my very favorite people is my Great Aunt Rose. Her personality is just so warm and sweet and genuine.
..........

And that, friends, is that! We are so, so excited for the arrival of our little princess and thank you all for sharing this amazing journey with us.

  12. Caroline has been on my list with all three of my girls. Sadly, my husband didn't like it, but I almost one out with baby #3! Rose is my oldest daughter's middle name, and of course, if you need bows and tutu's, please head over my way! I'd love to gift you with some!
