Today, friends, is one of those times.
Here's what's on my mind, mid-week:
- Would y'all want to do a dip recipe link-up in place of Confessional Friday this week? Just a thought. A thought that stemmed from seeing a Philadelphia Cream Cheese pop-up ad in my browser. This is how my mind works, you see.
- I'm le tired. Baby Caroline enjoys practicing her Rockette-like kicks from around 10 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. or so. I'm pleased as punch that my tiny dancer is already working on proper form and technique, but I wake up every morning feeling (and looking) like a zombie from Walking Dead. I've heard other moms say they slept better after they had the baby. Is this true for any of you girls?
- I'm a bit afraid of having to wear shoes that require me to buckle them. Sometimes after I bend down, I wonder if that might be the time I'm not able to get up again. Asking a pregnant woman at 8 and a half months to gracefully bend over is like asking Miley Cyrus to teach an etiquette class. A very bad idea, indeed.
- College football begins tomorrow night! Hallelujah and amen. I can hear the angels singing now. Do you hear them, too? Their song sounds a bit like...
- My husband has been giddy all week because of college football starting back up and his energy is infectious. ESPN is on constant play in our living room and Razorback yard flags are being put up all over our subdivision. I had a dream last night that we went to the hospital to have the baby and my regular OB had been replaced by ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit.
What's on your mind today?
When it came to sleep, I made myself a nest out of pillows. I slept on my side with my knee bent, a pillow between my legs, one behind my back, i hugged one, had one under my head and my neck/shoulders. I slept like a baby. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteKirk Herbstreit at the hospital? Why yes, don't mind if I do!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was all amazing. But the best part was Miley Cyrus teaching an etiquette class. Classic.
ReplyDeleteWhy yes, I would love to do a dip link up, so kind of you to ask! I had some thoughts already swirling for confessional friday, but I can switch gears real quick, ESPECIALLY since I just saw a wonderful pin called "19 amazing dips." So, sign me up!
ReplyDeleteahhh Kirk Herbstreit. What a man.
ReplyDeleteDip link up sounds great!
ReplyDeleteNo I was the opposite sleep-wise. I slept fine all the way till I went into labour....the last few weeks of my pregnancy I was sleeping 10 hours or so per night.
ReplyDeleteAnd now a year later my baby sleeps 12-13 hours and I still wake up every 3-4 hours :/
I am SO excited that it starts tomorrow night! Can't wait for my rebels to pull an upset! :)
ReplyDeleteA dip link up would be so fun and it's perfectly timed with college football kicking off!
ReplyDeleteCan someone help me understand what the link-up's are and how to be part of them? Thanks so much!! :)

My daughter is 4.5 and my son is 16 months. I've been tired and haven't had a good nights sleep in almost 5 years. Even when the baby starts sleeping through the night which usually isn't for months, I always have that "I'm on call" feeling that I'll need to be up and prepared at any moment if one of the kids needs something.
