1) I confess that I did a happy dance last night as we sat down to watch the SEC Network. I am so excited that our conference has its own dedicated space on cable now. Bring on college football!
2) I confess that I'll never eat spaghetti again. Stephen got home from his work trip last night and we were both starving, so we decided to have a big dinner. We cooked and devoured a huge pot of spaghetti and sauce, and y'all? I have never experienced pregnancy heartburn like that in my life. Ever. If I never see red sauce and pasta again, it'll be too soon.
3) I confess that it dawned on me last night that I should probably start designing Ainsley's nursery. Now that the move is complete and we're (for the most part) settled in, it's time to get down to brass tacks and start brainstorming. And buying!
4) I confess that spending my very first nights in the new house without Stephen freaked me out completely. Such a strange feeling to be alone in a new house. A bigger house. A house with brand new weird noises and things that go "bump" in the night. Apparently, Caroline was a little on edge, too, because she woke up at midnight and didn't fall back to sleep until 3 a.m. Needless to say, this place is going to take some getting used to when I'm here alone.
5) I confess that I'm going to the bakery tomorrow to order Caroline's FIRST birthday cake and it is so surreal. I can't believe our girl will turn one year old in just eight weeks. HOW? WHEN? ALREADY?
Okay, ladies. What'cha got for me today?

ReplyDeleteI cannot believe your child is almost ONE! Where has the time gone?? I am loving SEC Network too...it blows my mind that it's already football season again! And yes, I always hate when Andrew is gone. Even with an alarm system and a dog in the house, every little creak freaks me out. Too much Pretty Little Liars and CSI for my own good.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I move, I have a hard time sleeping alone at first! I completely relate and imagine it would be a million times worse if I had a little baby with me! Something about new homes it a little scary at first.
ReplyDeleteI really love your blog! You are the cutest mom and your love of Joss&Main has caused my husband to love to house show now, too! Look forward to hearing about the nursery!
ReplyDeleteWe are excited about the network too! Last night, my husband double checked to make sure we got it! Also, not good about the spaghetti! I know that (Stephen's sauce particularly) was one of your favorite things! Hopefully, your affinity for it will return after Miss A gets here!
ReplyDeleteI'd be freaked out in a big, new house if I was alone too! Yikes! I can't wait to see Ainsley's nursery! And a home tour of your new place ;)
ReplyDeleteEEEK a new house! My husband and I lil in a small two bedroom apt in the city, so I'm used to certain noises. But, I'm nervous for when we get a house, I dont like things that go bump in the night.
ReplyDeleteOne year old, so soon?!?! Oh my!
Congrats on being moved in the new house. It is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see what you do with the nursery. Your daughter is adorable.
ReplyDeleteEver since the SEC Network went live, I've been watching it non-stop! I am obSECessed with the network and I'm glad the best conference in the nation has it's own cable channel! Go Vols!!
