What do you do for a living?
After about seven years in the marketing/public relations industry working on both the client side and within an agency setting, I'm now a stay-at-home mom and freelance writer. I'm forever grateful for the time I got to spend focusing on my career and certainly plan to ease back into the biz someday down the road.
Where do you shop?
The better question would probably be, "Where don't you shop?" Locally, I love Maude Boutique, Savoir-Faire, Riffraff and Hazel's Haven. I try very hard to buy and source as many of my outfits and accessories as I can from small, local merchants. With that said, I always manage to find loads of treasures at Forever 21, Loft and BaubleBar.
Who takes your outfit photos? What kind of camera do you use?
My sweet husband usually falls victim to this task, but I also use a tripod take my own using a self-timer from time-to-time. I use a Canon Rebel t3i and crop/edit my photos in Photoshop.
How do you create your collages?
For compiling collages, I love SnagIt by Techsmith and Photoshop. I will say, it took a while to get the hang of Photoshop, but once I did, it became my go-to for making collages and blog banners. Pic Monkey also has a pretty cool collage feature, which I've used a few times on product posts.
Do you have kids?
Yes - two girls!
Our first baby girl, Caroline Rose, was born October 14, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. on the dot. You can read her official introduction posts here and here. She has her daddy's looks, my personality and her very own sense of style, which she expresses daily with her unique and bold outfit choices ; )
We were also (very) surprised and totally pumped last spring to find out we were expecting another baby (GIRL!) Ainsley Catherine joined our family on December 10, 2014 at 5:19 p.m. You can find her birth story here. AC is our most laid back kiddo who spends most of her time smiling and giggling at her big sister!
Raising two kids under the age of two definitely comes with its challenges, but we love our crazy life and wouldn't change a thing.
Do you take guest blog submissions?
No, sorry. Just to keep things simple -- and because this is a small, non-income-earning blog in which I usually just ramble about my kids -- I write all of my own content.
